The Clean Energy Solutions Summit is the Mountain West’s premier event for municipal, commercial and non-profit energy management and sustainability leaders and decision makers seeking to reduce energy costs, manage energy risks, and further sustainability initiatives through implementing clean energy solutions. The Solutions Summit provides a hands-on, solutions-based approach for organizations to develop bespoke solutions to the biggest challenges facing their organization today.

The Clean Energy Solutions Summit is held exclusively online via Zoom to ensure maximum participation by solution seekers and providers.

Solutions seekers will emerge with a clear plan, and possible partners, for how to tackle the challenge before them. Clean energy professionals will have a better understanding of the challenges that private and public organizations face as we look toward 2030.

In working groups of 6-8 experts, each problem will be analyzed, diagnosed and solutions offered. These working groups will offer solutions insights to and understanding of the financial, social, and environmental performance metrics necessary for success.

How it Works

Each government, private company or non-profit will bring their specific challenges to the Summit. Experts from across the clean energy industry will be partnered with those challenges to ensure a wide cross section of expertise.

After the opening session, each group will break out together and spend three one-hour sessions together over the course of the day. In working groups of 6-8 experts, each problem will be analyzed, diagnosed and solutions offered. These working groups will offer solutions insights to and understanding of the financial, social, and environmental performance metrics necessary for success. Solutions are best found through an extended engagement by the same experts, so participants will only be engaged with one working group.

At the end of the day, each group will have a project plan outlining possible next steps and present those to the rest of the Solutions Summit participants.

Types of Problems Being Tackled

  • Group 2: A mountain town is seeking to create a community solar garden with a flagship garden within city limits, but is facing land constraints.

  • Group 3: A Pueblo church wants to electrify its HVAC and add solar to reduce its energy bill and greenhouse gas footprint.

  • Group 4: Design a next generation, on-site solar generation and storage solution to provide 24/7 power for a shared fleet facility servicing 40+ electric vehicles and buses.

  • Group 5: Help a small Western Slope utility understand how to maximize the value of distributed energy storage on their grid and create a program to incentivize it.

  • Group 6: Help a Western Slope community design and create an agrivoltaics research project.

  • Group 7: Assist a community college seeking to lower their energy bill through solar + storage and energy efficiency.

More working groups will be announced soon! Check this page later to see.
